Stranger in Focus (2024)

In Stranger in Focus, Oscar Eklund embarks on a personal challenge to capture strangers in Gothenburg. While originally observing people from a distance, he now seeks to push his social boundaries and tries to get significantly closer to people, embodying the role of both “Observer” and “Intruder”. Hence, this body of work is a play between these two roles as well as an ethical exploration of how far one can push artistic agendas without infringing on personal privacy.
